June meeting 2016

The morning was spent without me cracking the whip but work continued on an individual basis in my absence and also in the Colour books (CBs)

I am impressed at the enthusiasm for the Colour books I have to say!

In the afternoon we began a new page in our CBs based on repeating motifs
Without using the word "design" everyone was repeating their pattern taken from an image in the CBs, and developing some lovely design work just as a fabric printer would when designing material for furnishing fabrics or fashion

Motifs were reflected and turned upside down. Dropped a full drop, a half drop, moved diagonally and so on. The designs were then carefully coloured in individual colour combinations or in monochrome

We ended the day by discussing the progress of our elephant work

Alma never ceases to surprise us and she produced 5 exotic elephants
Here is Sylvia hard at work on her printed elephant - looking amazing! (Both Sylvia and the work)

Thank you ladies for a very productive day and thank you to my trusty photographer Elise
