Himley Hall

We are hoping to hold an exhibition at Himley Hall in 2013 and in the mean time we are working towards producing a plethera of work in mixed media, based on the grounds of Himley Hall. Photographs here are from our initial visit to Himley Hall on September 8th 2011
Himley Hall in all its splendour

Ruth enjoying a relaxing moment amidst the trees, drawing

Pat and Elaine by the stream with their sketch books and materials

Texture and pattern to be found everywhere - above and below

Wonderful textures amongst the trees
Fabulous pattern in the fungi

Alma loved the textures on the tree bark, and made beautiful colourful rubbings

Man-made forms were also evident at Himley and were beautiful - rusting iron work was delicious to draw and photograph
Here's Margaret drawing the wrought iron work and loving every minute!!

 Wonderful colours and textures

All photography and work took place in the morning - we then met back at Bradmore for lunch, compulsory cake and a work session. Together we pooled our ideas and began to develop our ideas onto fabric. We painted, crayoned and explored the potential of our photographs and sketch book work. The development will continue to develop ...watch this space!
